It was a close match on Tuesday, when the Redhawk tennis team lost 10-9 to the Heritage Coyotes.

“This was a tough loss against Heritage,” head coach Erica Dopson said. “But we are ready to keep battling and improving each week.”

According to sophomore Rujula Padala, the Redhawks put up a strong fight against the Coyotes despite the final score.

“We knew playing against Heritage would be tough,” Padala said. “Even though we lost 10-9, it was a great team effort, there were many close matches, and everyone was very supportive of each other.”

Padala believes consistency and motivation from the team could be key in future matches.

“The team is just working on improving and getting better by giving our hundred percent,” Padala said. “And working together by encouraging and cheering on our teammates.”
