Getting ready for District 10-5A play, the Redhawk volleyball team faced the Panther Creek Panthers on Friday and walked away with a 3-0 win.

“We played really well,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “And we did a good job of serving aggressively.”

Opening with the 2022-2023 school year, Panther Creek High School is the newest volleyball team in Frisco ISD.

“The team did really good,” junior Mary Jane McCurdy said. “We had high expectations for the game because Panther Creek is a new school, and we executed the game plan”

McCurdy believes running effective plays gave the Redhawks the upper hand.

“Our greatest strength in the game was probably our serve receive,” McCurdy said. “I think in general our team’s greatest strength is our ability to run plays that are effective.”
