Baseball powers past Centennial

Halle Barham, Sports Director

Approaching the midway point of the District 9-5A baseball season, the baseball team took the short trip down Rolater to take on Centennial. With a ten run first inning, an easy win was on the mind of all players, the coaching staff, and the fans. 20mph winds may have helped the team’s case, as the team slugged two grand slams and added two more home runs as the team lit up the scoreboard to the tune of 17 runs. Freshman pitcher Riley Edwards did his part on the mound, allowing 5 runs as the team cruised to the big win 17-5. The team returns home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to take on Heritage.
