The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees hosted its September public board meeting Monday night.

The board did not pass any measures, but they did discuss several topics, with public feedback following.

Included in the agenda was Title IX student bathroom use for students with transgender, genderfluid, and other sexual identities.

The board also discussed Senate Bill 797, a law passed in the Texas Legislature in 2021, which requires public schools to display donated “in God we trust” signs.

The board also gave an update on the district’s efforts to review library books.

Books are being professionally reviewed based on age-appropriateness and interest level, and these reviews are expected to be completed by May 2023.
