For many seniors, the fall semester can bring a variety of stressors, a primary factor being the college application process.

In order to help alleviate this pressure, Collin College is offering Dual Credit students free help on application essays through its Writing Center, where English professors will be available from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to assist students in crafting an acceptance-worthy essay.

“I actually didn’t know about this resource until just recently,” senior Bella Burkett said. “I have used it a little myself. They’ve helped me edit my essay to make it perfect, and I think people should utilize it because it’s extremely helpful during such a stressful time.”

In order to receive assistance, Dual Credit students must log in using their Collin credentials and schedule an appointment with a professor.

Appointments will be available at all locations, including neighboring areas such as the Frisco, Plano, and McKinney campuses.
