For sophomores and juniors that took the PSAT exam in October, the anticipation is finally over as scores will be available online starting Monday. An email will also be sent to students the same day with instructions on how to view PSAT/NMSQT scores through the student’s College Board account.

“I’m looking forward to getting my score back so that I can study specifically what I missed on the exam,” sophomore Addison LeBlanc said. “With the information I receive, I hope that next year, I can be confident in my answers to each question and greatly improve my score for the PSAT and real SAT.”

Using the test as practice, junior Nikhita Koya believes that receiving her results will help her to create a solid study plan for her SATs, and eventually, score a few more points.

“I think that my PSAT score helps me understand where I am in terms of studying for the SAT,” Koya said. “It shows me what I need to work on and what I have mastered, so I can spend more time on the types of questions I struggle with instead of wasting my time on repeating the ones I am good at.”

The PSAT was about more than practice for junior Aaron Xu who is aiming for potential scholarship money and awards.

“For the most part, I won’t be using my PSAT score to improve my SAT score as I’d rather use full-length SAT practice tests to improve,” Xu said. “Instead, I hope that the PSAT will help me through the possible National Merit Scholarship that I could possibly receive.”
