AP Research students are practicing their study and experimentation materials for their final presentation at a gallery walk in the library Thursday from 12:10 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.

“Firstly, it’s an opportunity for AP Research students to practice presenting their research since their final presentation is a part of their AP score,” teacher Chris Ham said. “Secondly, it’s also an opportunity for our Liberty students to see the amazing work of our AP Research students, especially for students interested or already a part of the AP Capstone program as they’ll get an opportunity to see what AP Research is like.”

For senior Mishaail Ibrahim, the gallery walk will allow her to present the information and findings she has gained and found to others, not only students and staff in her class.

“I’m excited to present my research topic and share the knowledge that I have learned with a variety of people,” Ibrahim said. “I think the gallery walk is extremely beneficial as it will help me present my findings in a more efficient way as well as practice in a different way as this type of presentation is not the same as the class presentations we typically do in class.”

Similarly, junior Nikhita Koya is excited about the gallery walk as she will be able to demonstrate her enthusiasm regarding her research as well as develop her presentation skills.

“I look forward to showing people all of the hard work and passion I have put into my research project,” Koya said. “I think the gallery walk will help me practice talking in front of other people, who are not only in my class, and overall, help me for my final presentation for the AP exam.”

With the opportunities the gallery walk provides for both individuals in and out of the class, Ham encourages all staff and students on campus to visit.

“Students and staff should visit the gallery walk to either learn about a topic of their interest as there’s a variety of research topics that people may find interesting or simply learn more about the AP Research class,” Ham said. “A lot of students have heard of the AP Research class, but they haven’t had a chance to see what it’s all about.”
