Traveling to Centennial High School Tuesday night to play their last game before playoffs, the boys’ basketball team went to overtime, before pulling away from the Titans to win 71-61.

“The boys played well, they did what they needed to do and played with the same passion and toughness that they’ve brought all season,” head coach Stephen Friar said. “Great way to end the regular season, but now we have to turn our focus on playoffs. Each game is going to be a battle and we want to put ourselves in the best position to try and make a run for the title.”

The Redhawks finished their district championship season with a District 10-5A record of 11-1.

“It was a close game, but some good scoring efforts and traditional teamplay from us let us pull away at the end,” senior Jake Harvey said. “The experience the team has because we’re mostly seniors definitely helps in games like these, we just put our head down, stay level, and keep playing ball.”
