Senior Carter Brown signed his letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Dallas Baptist University today.

Brown has been apart of the varsity team for three years, and averaged 14 points per game this season. He was also named to the TABC 1st team his junior year, and was named MVP of the district this senior year, in addition to being named to the all state and all region teams.

“I’m really excited for next year and continuing my basketball career at DBU,” Brown said. “At DBU I am able to not only get a great education, but also continue my religious faith at DBU. I am sad to part ways with my Liberty family but I know there are great things to come.”

Brown’s coaches and teammates are all excited for his continuation of his career.

“I think it is a great opportunity for him,” boys’ head basketball coach Marcus Eckert said. “He is very well deserving being the district MVP, all state, and all-region player. DBU has a great basketball team, Coach Flickner does a fantastic job there. He is going to have opportunities to pay early, to be a huge factor for that team, and I think it’s going to be a good fit for him as well. We are proud of him for doing that, and we’re also excited that he is staying close, so we can go and support.”
