Softball looks for redemption against Emerson
March 28, 2023
Coming off a string of successful games that have the Redhawks (3-3) in third place in District 10-5A, softball plays the Emerson Mavericks Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. with the team looking to solidify its playoff position.
Senior Lixangely Martinez Lozada is determined to see the matchup through to that conclusion, if for no other reason than to offset the Redhawks’ close 9-8 loss to the Mavericks at the start of district play.
“I feel like this time we will win,” Martinez Lozada said.
Head coach Baylea Higgs believes that gradual work will be an important factor in achieving that goal, as well as in the team’s continued success.
“[We’ve got] big games this week,” Higgs said. “[We need to] stay focused and take things one day at a time.”
