Have you ever wondered if the locations where you study are the best places to study?

WTV’s Sophie Walding has the answer.

Many studies have been done about how your study environment may affect the way you study.

According to Western Governors University, multiple things come into play such as music, comfort, and temperature.

It all comes down to the way you learn.

For visual learners it’s best to be in a quiet class.

For auditory learners it is best to be actively listening to something.

And finally for kinesthetic learners it is best for them to be doing something active while studying.

“Well I think it depends on the individual, some people, for example me, study really well with music, white noise drives me crazy,” AP Psychology teacher Kaitlyn Little said. “It makes me a little bit more distracted. Other people can have white noise and can have distractions. It just depends on knowing yourself and trial and error to see what works best. I would say in general it’s better to study quiet, somewhere where it’s conducive to study. But also sometimes it works better to study with a group and benefit from the knowledge that everyone else has.”
