With spring ball in its fourth day, the 2016 schedule for the football team has been released and features multiple games at The Star, the new headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys

“Speaking for the team, we are very lucky to have the opportunity to play at The Star” varsity quarterback Grant Buss said. “With awesome venues like Toyota and Memorial, let alone this up-and-coming Ford Stadium, Frisco ISD has blessed all football players with excellent facilities. Friday night lights at this unbelievable arena will be memorable.”

The team opens their season against Wakeland at The Star, which is apart of the quadruple-header on Saturday, August 27. The team’s nonconference schedule includes trips to Sherman, South Garland, and Prosper, where the team will take on the Eagles for the first time since district realignment in 2014.

“It is exciting to be in a new district that is all Frisco for the next 2 years,” head coach Chris Burtch said. “We believe that the competition will be very good and that Frisco ISD is doing some amazing things. We play in “The Star” opening weekend and will play there a total of 5 times next year. There is not a better venue in the country to play Friday night football.”
