Saturday marks the district meet for Model UN at Grand Prairie High School. “The basis of MUN is that you’re preparing something about your country’s stance on a certain topic - it’s a mock United Nations,” undersecretary of conference and delegate trainer sophomore Jiya Sharma said.

After a fourth place finish in the Dallas Mavericks Fall Classic last week, the Redhawks girls’ basketball team is back for the Allen Hoopfest tournament. The team will be hoping for better results heading into Thanksgiving break.

Girls’ basketball is ready to bring the heat again Thursday and into Thanksgiving break in the Allen Hoopfest tournament kicking off playing Ursline Academy

“My goal for this next [tournament] is to be more aggressive on offense, run back on transition, and get more dubs,” junior Aniah Warrior said

The team will look to get better results than their fourth place tournament finish last week.

“We’ve had some success, but there have been some very close games,” head coach Ross Reedy said. “So we know that we’re going to have to play our best basketball to come out on top. We’ve got a lot of talent, but I think the best thing for us is just to be fundamental.”
