Boys’ and girl’s soccer had their second scrimmages of the season on Tuesday. Even with the girls’ winning, and the boys’ losing, both teams managed to have learning experiences.
Boys’ and girls’ soccer took the field Tuesday for their second scrimmages of the season.
The girls’ team had a massive win, beating Western Hills 15-0 giving the girls confidence going forward.
“It definitely gives us a confidence boost and built the team’s chemistry,” senior Cate Butcher said. “We learned that the best way to be successful in a game is to play simple and work together.”
The boys’ side had less luck, losing 3-0 to Newman Smith.
“We definitely need to be sharper overall, especially finishing in front of goal, and be a little more careful against a counterattack,” junior Lucas Godoy said. “But it’s only our second scrimmage together and there were definitely lots of positives.”
