Girls’ basketball jumps right into round two of state playoffs, after being crowned Bi-District champions on Tuesday. The girls’ will take on Hillcrest High School Thursday in hopes of advancing.
After being crowned Bi-District champions on Tuesday, the Redhawks girls’ basketball team is onto the next round of playoffs Thursday. The girls will take on Hillcrest, traveling to Hillcrest High School, to compete for the area championship.
“My goal is to win the easy way,” sophomore Jacy Abii said. “Making sure the team has fun.”
The girls will walk into Thursday’s game pretty confident as they are currently on a 15-game win streak, although maybe too confident.
“So we’re planning on a deep playoff run, well yeah,” head coach Ross Reedy said. “People are talking about, who do we got in the third round? Well, what do you mean, third round, we’ve got somebody in the second round. [If] we don’t beat them, we’re gonna lose.”
