Softball (2-5) struck out on Saturday after losing to the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers (6-1) 3-2 at The Nest.
“It was a tough loss, we just couldn’t really get the bats going, finishing the game with only 3 hits,” head coach Baylea Higgs said. “You just can’t win a lot of games without hitting the ball.”
The team was not able to execute plays, according to Higgs, and that may have cost them the game.
“We had a few costly errors as well and just couldn’t get what we wanted to do, done,” Higgs said.
The team strives to look forward, heading into round two of District 10-5A play this week, hoping to get a win against the Emerson Mavericks.
“We are starting round two on Tuesday and looking forward to a strong second round,” Higgs said.
