Finishing one spot out of qualifying for the regional tournament, the girls’ golf team finished in 3rd place at the District 10-5A tournament on Monday and Tuesday

Girls’ golf fell short in the 10-5A District tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Twin Creeks Golf Club, with the Redhawks finishing in third place, one spot from advancing to the regional tournament.

“I was very happy with their results,” head coach Shannon Glidwell said. ¨We beat the teams we should´ve and ended our season on a really positive note.¨

Although the team didn’t advance, freshman Lily Jenkins was able to take a positive outlook when play was finished.

¨We worked hard and we tried our best,” freshman Lily Jenkins said.”We all got the best scores all season so I am happy about that.”

The team is already making plans for next year according to Glidwell.

¨Starting next week we are going to be working more physically so we can prepare more next year,¨ Glidwell said. ¨As well as working with our team and team efforts.¨
