The girls’ golf team competed in the Jesuit DIT at the Brookhaven Country Club Monday and finished in fourth place.

Although it’s still early in the spring golf season, head coach Shannon Glidwell is proud of the progress the girls have made on their technique.

“Overall we did fairly well,” Glidwell said. “This tournament we had some good ball striking, which is something we’ve really improved on even with the windy conditions, and I think we’ll have everybody firing on all cylinders by [the District 10-5A tournament on] March 25.”

Successes like these are what keep senior Ashley Zhang going.

“What inspires me to go out is to play and be successful,” Zhang said. “And that’s what we did.”
