“I’m excited to go to state,” Burrowes said. “It’s my first time going to state actually for triple jump. I didn’t qualify last year, but this year I qualified on the last jump so I have a lot of family coming.”
Girls’ head coach Khera Vay believes Burrowes can be successful on the biggest high school stage for her event.
“Any time a kid gets to state obviously its a huge accomplishment itself,” Vay said.”I think this is a great opportunity to put her on display.”
