This season might have been senior Jade-Ashley Burrowes’ first time competing at the state level in triple jump, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at her results. Burrowes placed second in her event at the track and field state meet hosted by the University of Texas over the weekend.
Girls’ head coach Khera Vay is proud of the progress that she has seen from Burrowes during her time coaching her. In that span, Burrowes went from qualifying for state with her last jump of the regional meet to becoming a silver medalist.
“I think one of the most important things about Jade and her growth over the couple of years in triple jumping is her ability to stay composed and handle pressure,” Vay said in a previous interview with WTV.
Jade-Ashli Burrowes could not be reached for comment.
