After finishing 6th in the District 10-5A tournament, the Redhawks boys golf season comes to an end.¨It was bittersweet for the team to finish in 6th place this year as we had played outstanding golf leading up to the District tournament,¨ head coach Shannon Glidwell said.

The boys last tournament at Gentle Creek was shortened to 9 holes as a result of the poor weather conditions. However, the team will not let that stop them in their upcoming tournament Tuesday.

Sisters junior Asiana Chang and freshman Alanna Chang had the opportunity to compete alongside one another in the Lantana Preview. This is an opportunity that comes fairly infrequently for the pair.

The Redhawks took the course at 8:00 a.m. with eight athletes making up the team. With past tournaments only containing three team members, the athletes were proud to have a full nest.

Teeing off on the 1st hole at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown, senior Maya Jain and the rest of the girls golf team are competing in the UIL 5A State Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. The Redhawks are making their first appearance at state since 2018.

Finishing in 3rd place at the 5A Region II girls golf tournament in Rockwall, the Redhawks team claimed a spot in the state tournament with a score of 108, four strokes behind Highland Park, and eight behind regional champion Lebanon Trail.

Shooting a 652 over two days at Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson was good enough for the girls golf team to take second place in the District 9-5A tournament Monday and Tuesday. The Redhawks join District 9-5A champion Lebanon Trail in the 5A Region II tournament Monnday.
