After finishing 6th in the District 10-5A tournament, the Redhawks boys’ golf season comes to an end.¨It was bittersweet for the team to finish in 6th place this year as we had played outstanding golf leading up to the District tournament,¨ head coach Shannon Glidwell said.

In the competitive arena of the 10-5A District tournament, the boys’ golf team finished in 6th place, showcasing their talents and experience.

¨Freshman Gavin Liu led the team and was two shots away from qualifying as an individual medalist for the Region II-5A Golf Tournament,” head coach Shannon Glidwell said. ¨Gavin was our highest finisher with his rounds of 79-80 and finishing tied for 11th.¨

With only the top two teams advancing to the regional tournament, the season is officially over for the boys’ team, but Glidwell has plans for productive practices for the remainder of the school year.

¨The boys will spend the remainder of our practices working on individual items to help them prepare for their individual summer events in 2024,¨ Glidwell said.

Finishing 4th in the district preview tournament on March 8, it was a bad time to not be at their best according to Glidwell.

¨It was bittersweet for the team to finish in 6th place this year as we had played outstanding golf leading up to the District tournament,¨ Glidwell said.  ¨Unfortunately, with golf we only have one event for the District championships, and it just happened that we had one of our poor performances at this time.  We say goodbye to two seniors, Anuj Sinha, and Kaden Crocetti, but we have a bright future with several key returning players for the 2024-2025 season.  We will work hard to improve for next year.¨
