The track and field team competed in the District 11-5A meet at Little Elm Lobo Stadium during both preliminaries on Thursday and finals on Friday. Scoring 156 points, the girls team secured a district championship title, while many athletes earned individual top-five finishes.
“Districts went really well,” sophomore Grace Harris said. “I was pretty happy with my times and I gave it my all. I was very satisfied with my results and what we were able to accomplish as a team.”
Girls head coach Khera Vay is confident in her athletes’ chances at the upcoming area meet after claiming a title at this one.
“There was some like really bright spots as far as the meet goes and I think we’re on the right track,” Vay said.
