It’s rematch day for Redhawks baseball as they take on Walnut Grove Friday at The Nest. This is the second time the two teams will face off this week, with the Redhawks losing to the Wildcats 3-1 on Tuesday.
“Our mindset going into the next game is playing selfless at every opportunity,” senior Wes Weaks said. “Making sure we’re doing everything we can to start scoring early in the game.”
Facing a southpaw, head coach Scott McGarrh is telling the team to be patient at the plate.
“Like I keep saying [Walnut Grove has] a left handed pitcher,” Mcgarrh said. “So we’ve got to do a good job of, you know, grinding out of bats and getting his pitch count up. So we get him out of the game and he’s really good. So we just hopefully, you know, the one play goes our way and the big hit goes our way and the one pitch goes our way. “
