Some home cooking was on the menu Tuesday night at The Nest, as baseball got back on the winning track with a 6-5 win over Independence to keep their playoff hopes alive in District 11-5A.
“I think our pitching was much better than usual, [which helped us win],” senior Drew Miller said.
Having perseverance to come back after the Knights took the lead was the key according to head coach Scott McGarrh.
“What [the team] did well was play the game all night,” McGarrh said. “This was the first game where we were behind and came back from the bottom. Probably the best we’ve played all year.”
