Snapchat is a free app in both Google Play and App Store and is the most popular form of social with high schoolers. It’s a easy way to connect and chat with friends, but whatever is posted and shared disappears in 24 hours.

For some people, Snapchat is used to communicate with friends and stay connected with them but others use it to just keep streaks alive and observe other people’s lives. For those who actually use Snapchat to talk to friends, it’s an easy way to communicate. But for those who use it to seem cool, it’s a waste of time.

Personally, it’ a bit of both for this me. When I wake up, I send a “good morning” to all my streaks, but after that, I usually start a conversation with a random friend and ask them about their day. Throughout the day I try to talk to at least a couple of old friends and see what’s happening in their life.

It might seem useless to some people but it is an amusing way to entertain yourself or pass time. Snapchat can help you connect with friends that live far away or just chat with friends that are nearby and the app also has features that allow you to chat with your friends and send pictures of whatever you want.

The app also has a feature called Discover which includes articles and videos from companies like Buzzfeed, Food Network, Cosmopolitan, Dailymail, MTV, CNN, and many more. On top of that, the stories automatically update every day so you don’t have to tap through the same stuff everyday.
