Closing off the District 9-5A season with a win, the tennis team defeated the Lions 10-9 on Thursday at Reedy.

“Reedy is a tough team, but we won a lot of close matches and played with a lot of energy,“ senior Sophie Boutouis said. “This win gives us a lot of confidence, so hopefully we can enter playoffs with a more positive mindset.”

The match against Reedy not only provides the team with assurance, but also experience in order to prepare for playoffs on Tuesday.

“We had some extremely tough and close matches so I think we gained a lot of valuable experience and really learned how to play and win under pressure,” junior Anushka Sinha said. “We are going to be playing some challenging teams for playoffs so I think we are a lot more prepared to face them under pressure.”
