Storm rolled into North Texas, leaving some damage

The school wasn’t spared from the high winds that whipped through the area as one of the trees in front of the school, outside the social studies hall, was split almost in half from winds.

A strong storm system rolled through North Texas last night with numerous homes in the area suffering damage from the strong winds. 

“A tree in front of my house fell over because of the winds last night which was pretty scary,” junior Aleeza Hussain said via text. “It’s right in front of my window but there wasn’t any property damage, luckily.”

The school wasn’t spared from the high winds that whipped through the area as one of the trees in front of the school, outside the social studies hall, was split almost in half from winds. 

According to the WFAA, peak wind gusts in the area clocked in at more than 60 miles per hour.
