Hoping for a chance to tame the Lions, the Redhawks tip off the weekend in a District 9-5A matchup at Reedy High School with the girls starting at 6:30 p.m., and the boys not long after at 8:00 p.m.

The team feels they played well in their last game Tuesday as they beat Independence, and the Redhawks are looking to use their past performance to help prepare.

“We did really well hustling and shooting in the last game,” Hulstein said via text. “We have been doing pretty good the past few games so we have a good energy going.”

The same could be said for the girls’ team. With her sights set another win, senior Maya Jain is looking forward to Friday’s game.

“We just want to win even more,” Jain said via text. “Each game is more motivation for us to do what we did last year.”
