Success in San Antonio for DECA and ACDEC

Students in the DECA club and ACDEC team competed at state competitions in San Antonio over the weekend with many advancing and winning competitions.

17 students advanced on to the DECA international competition, earning first place in their respective competitions. Those advancing are:

Meanwhile, nine students from the ACDEC team competed at the ACDEC state competition. The team brought home 16 state medals and won two state overall individual awards.

Senior Abel Sen won first place in speech, second place in art and third place in math, science, economics, music, and social science. Senior Visakh Madathil won second place in economics and third place in essay writing and language/literature.

Sen also won second place in the state overall individual honors division and Madathil won third place in the state overall individual scholastic division.
