It’s a battle of Redhawks and Coyotes on Tuesday night as Heritage High makes the trip to The Nest in District 9-5A play with the girls’ team starting the action off at 6:30 p.m.

Entering Tuesday’s game with a 12-1 district record, and tied for first place with Memorial High School, the girls’ team is looking to continue their five game winning streak.

“We are just looking to play really solid, work on executing our offense and having extremely solid defense possessions,” junior guard Jezelle Moreno said. “The teams we may play in the playoffs are there for a reason, so every single possession matters.”

Riding a four game winning streak, the boys’ team will take the court at approximately 8:00 p.m.

“We have to have the mindset that it’s not really about Heritage, it’s about us,” junior guard Jay’den Daniel said. “We’ve been able to close out games better due to being smart and not overthinking.”

After beating the Coyotes on the road in a tight game earlier this season, the team is coming prepared for a battle.

“Last game was a good one, and we don’t expect this one to be anything less,” freshman guard Cobe Coleman said. “We are ready to compete to the best of our ability and go get a win tomorrow.”
