The Redhawk soccer teams face the Lone Star Rangers for the first time this season in District 9-5A play on Tuesday.

Hosting the Rangers at The Nest at 5:30 p.m., the girls’ team is aiming to score a win after walking away with draws in their previous two games.

“Our strengths are combinations and communication,” sophomore Cate Butcher said. “I expect us to play as a team and work together against Lone Star.”

The boys’ team travels to Lone Star High School Tuesday, when they kick off against the Rangers at 7:30 p.m.

“We’re looking to improve off our set pieces,” senior Ashton Schramek said. “That’s always been a strength but it’s always good to have that in our back pocket because we are always really good at that.”
