Looking to catch a win, baseball takes on the Heritage Coyotes on Friday. “We’re still learning as a team, especially with the younger guys, but we’re meshing and finding our style,” senior Jack Dehnisch said.

The baseball team doesn’t have to wait long for redemption against Lebanon Trail High School as the Redhawks travel to take on the Trail Blazers in District 9-5A play Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Coming off a 16-1 win over Newman Smith in a non-district contest, Lebanon Trail got the best of the Redhawks Tuesday with a 7-3 win.

Striking out 11 times in the first game against the Trail Blazers, senior Yeshas Nath says the team has invested a significant amount of time working at the plate.

“We really need to change our approach at the plate. We’ve been working with live pitching in practice to simulate game situations more accurately,” Nath said. “I believe that if we are able to translate our success in practice into the game, we will see similar success on the field.”
