Volleyball swept the Heritage Coyotes 3-0 on Tuesday, earning their second District 10-5A win of the season.

“I feel proud that the volleyball program worked together as a team and executed our defensive adjustments correctly,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We are happy with how we performed and we are trying to use every experience we had to get one percent better every time we play.”

With district play starting, the win on Tuesday keeps the team tied for first with Independence.

“It was very exciting that we swept them and we played as a team for the first time in a while,” junior Kate Ashmore said. “We’re going to have a lot more energy and talk a lot more in the next games because we saw how it positivity affects the team.”
