Boys’ basketball defends the Nest on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m., as they play their first District 10-5A  game against the Emerson Mavericks.

“Emerson is young and it’s their first district season, but they are capable of competing against any district team,” head coach Stephen Friar said. “We’ve had a week to prepare, watching how they played against Jesuit, a tough 6A team, and watching any other film we have on them, so I believe the boys will be prepared enough to win and start district off well.”

After about 2 weeks of being on the road for non-district play, the team finally returns to the Nest, hoping for a good turnout of supporters and home energy.

“10 games in 13 days, all on the road, it’s been a lot, so we’re glad that we get to have our first district game at home,” senior Ty Stubblefield said. “We’re looking forward to having friends and family hyping us up and bringing the energy, which should definitely bring up the team’s vibe and mental.”
