Independent Study and Mentorship students are presenting their work at a gallery walk in the library Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 2:50 pm. and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.

“First and foremost, the event is being held to promote ISM and praise students’ work thus far,” teacher Heather Whitcomb said. “The purpose is for students and staff members to rotate through “gallery walk” style to observe and ask questions about students’ topics, original work displays, and anything related to their ISM journey.”

Junior Aaron Xu is excited to see the work of other ISM students.

“I’m excited to see what ISM students from other classes have accomplished since I’ve been limited to just my small class so far,” Xu said.

Due to the independent nature of the class, Xu is looking forward to receiving feedback and presenting to a different audience.

“Also, I’m looking forward to sharing my final product idea with others and getting feedback,” Xu said. “I think allowing teachers and peers to see our work is beneficial, so we can present our work to an extended audience instead of just our classmates.”

Whitcomb encourages all staff and students to stop by the gallery.

“If you can come by, you should; their work is amazing,” Whitcomb said. “These are very talented young men and women who continue to strive for excellence.”
