It’s no secret that junior year of high school can be a student’s most challenging year as students begin to formulate plans for life after high school.

“It’s a lot more stressful than I thought it would be,” junior Michelle Afrid said. “It’s the year you have to really figure out your life and get it together and it’s kind of scary. I’m glad it’s almost over.”

With the looming pressure of finding the right college or path, juniors often joke about not having a social life.

“It’s a lot of hard work no doubt,” junior Ashlyn Uva said. “But it’s also a lot of fun, even when you’re doing some academic activities, you make friends.”

While juniors are buckling down and tackling the monster that is junior year, sophomores are waiting in the wings, anticipating what can be the hardest year of high school

“I’m nervous because I’m taking a lot of hard classes,” sophomore Michaila Kincaid said. “I don’t want to overwhelm myself but I’m also excited because I’m graduating early so it’s basically my senior year.”

When it comes to the last year of high school, many seniors claim it’s the easiest, even with the stress of the college application process.

“You’ve already got all your classes done so basically you’re just taking classes just so you can stay in school, all my credits are already done so I’m just taking the basic classes,” senior Andrew Smith said. “You already have the feeling that you’re already graduated. You just have to make sure you pass. ”
