Taking a break from District 10-5A play, the baseball team is gearing up for a 7:30 p.m. game against non-district opponent Greenville High School Thursday at The Nest. t is 

“We don’t know much about Greenville since it’s a non-district matchup, but they seem to be playing ok and are on the younger side,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “We’re really using this game as a checkpoint, seeing how kids who are coming off injury play, trying to ensure we have depth in our roster, and just making sure to keep healthy through the game.”

Thursday is also Senior Night for the team with the Redhawks starting seven seniors.

“The 13 of us [seniors] have put a lot of work and time into this program for the last four years, so it’s nice to have some recognition and celebration,” senior Ryan Healey said. “It’ll be a fun night celebrating the brotherhood we’ve created and playing the game we love.”
