The Redhawks baseball team swept the Heritage Coyotes at The Nest on Friday. They moved their District 10-5A record to 4-2 with the win and they now head into the second half of their district season.

There would be no Coyotes thefts on Friday as the Redhawks baseball team defended The Nest from Heritage High School by way of a 14-0 win to improve  their District 10-5A record to 4-2.

“It was another game of great execution from the boys,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “We were in control of the game and made sure to minimize mistakes so Heritage wouldn’t have any chance to get into the game.”

Friday’s game marked the halfway point of the district games, and it’s a point at which the Redhawks have been making improvements according to junior Blake Ritchie.

“From the start of the district season, everyone has really improved and found their job on this team,” Ritchie said. “We haven’t hit our full potential yet, but each game has been helping us get there.”
