A playoff bid is tantalizingly close for the baseball team, but the Redhawks need a win in the rematch against the Memorial Warriors Friday at the Nest at 7:30 p.m.

“I believe that we have the right preparation and our game plan is solid for them, we just need to bring the energy this time around,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “If we can come out the gates strong and with a presence, everything else will fall into place and we’ll find what we need to get the win.”

The Redhawks are looking to turn it up and are ready to fight to get back to the playoffs after barely missing it by one game last year.

“I feel like we’ll be a lot better this rematch, obviously last game there wasn’t much working for us, but we’ve moved on and are focusing on what might happen in this game,” junior Ian Garza said. “We’ve set big goals for us to achieve this season and it all starts with qualifying to the next stage, so for this last stretch of district games we have to really step it up individually and as a whole.”
