Looking to solidify its playoff position, the baseball team matches up against the Warriors this week, heading to Memorial High School Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., looking to start a winning streak after beating Independence on Friday.

“On paper, they look good. They’ve struggled during the district season, but they’re still a good team so that doesn’t mean we can take them lightly,” assistant coach Ryan Houston said. “The game plan stays relatively the same, we’ve got to do everything right and keep mistakes at a minimum, our pitchers have to do our job, and capitalize on the opportunities we’re given.”

With only four District district games left, the Redhawks have put themselves in a position to succeed in the regular season due to the level of preparation the coaches have instilled.

“Our coaches have prepared us well all season in terms of understanding what our opponents might do every game,” senior Hunter Hamilton said. “We know what they’re going to throw at us and how they might try to contain us, we just have to go out and play.”
