Senior Ashley Zhang and the rest of the girls’ golf team takes the course on Friday at 8:00 a.m. to compete in the Argyle Girls Invitational.

The girls’ golf team takes the course on Friday at 8:00 a.m. to compete in the Argyle Girls Invitational.

“We expect to be highly competitive in this event as we are playing against many of the top girls’ teams in 5A golf,” coach Shannon Glidwell said.  “Anything inside of a top-10 finish in the team standings would be outstanding.”

After a second place finish at the Argyle Invitational on Sept. 26, junior Ally Gerardot hopes that the team is able to rise to the competition on Friday.

“We have pretty high hopes for our team coming off of second place a couple of weeks ago, but we know a lot of these teams are much more competitive,” Geradot said. “With better teams we hope to stay composed, play as best as we can, and have fun.”
