While freshman and juniors in biology and U.S. history classes will be taking the EOC STAAR tests on Wednesday and some seniors will be taking the AP Literature exam, students not taking one of these three tests will have a late arrival time of 12:15 p.m.

“It is a district decision, the school did not decide if they wanted to give the students late arrival,” campus testing coordinator Cheri Sapp said. “All of the Frisco schools do the same thing.”

The STAAR exam will take place district-wide and all students must pass these exams in order to complete their freshman year science and junior year history requirements. Administration of the two exams will take around four hours, excusing all students from first, second and third periods.

“The students need to check the signs in the rotunda to see if they need to be at school on that day,” Sapp said. “If they are not on the list and they think they should be then they can either talk to a counselor or me.”
