The Board of Trustees is having their monthly meeting Tuesday. They plan to recognize the Redhawk girls’ basketball team for their win at the state championship, along with several other agenda items.

Every month, the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees holds a monthly meeting to discuss the business of the district. January’s meeting was Tuesday at the Administration Building.

January is designated as School Board Recognition Month to honor and thank the trustees for their dedication and service to FISD. All board members were celebrated and honored last night to thank them for their work.

Other recognitions included Coserv, the Emerson High School football team, and students from Lawler Middle School and Lone Star High School who participated in the Texas Music Educators Association Conference honor groups.

Following the recognition, there was a mid-year update with no changes needed to the monthly board meetings.

In addition, minutes from the Dec. 11 regular meeting and amended minutes from the Nov. 13 regular meeting were considered and concluded last night.

Lastly, budget transfers and amendments for the new year were discussed and approved.
