Best Buddies celebrates Inclusion Week on campus

Best Buddies is celebrating Inclusion Week on campus. The chapter has planned a variety of activities, from trivia to dress up days, to celebrate.

The Best Buddies International organization is celebrating its 35th anniversary with March being Best Buddies month.

The school’s Best Buddies chapter is doing various activities this week to help celebrate Inclusion Week and ensure the campus is a welcoming, accepting environment.

“We are going to do trivia, there will be a quote a day on Wingspan and during lunches we will offer prizes if you know the answer,” Best Buddies sponsor Cynthia Kays said. “We will also have a week of dress up so pair up with your best friends or buddies and join the fun.”

Senior Matthew Do plans to participate in the events and hopes have a good time.

“[I want to] wear my green outfit, have some trivia, musical chairs, and have some fun,” Do said.

Best Buddies meets once a month during advisory, and all students welcome to join or be a part of the organization.

Olivia Pulley is a Sophomore and it’s her first year on Wingspan. On campus, Olivia is part of the National Art Honor Society and the Best Buddies club. Outside of school, you can find her volunteering with her youth group, hanging out with her friends, or shopping. She is very excited to be a part of Wingspan, and can’t wait to see where this year takes her!
