Coming back from spring break, students were met with new soap dispensers and hand sanitizers. The new additions were met with different opinions.

Returning from Spring Break this year, students and staff noticed an unexpected change: alcohol based, automated hand sanitizers.

“I really like the new hand sanitizers because the old ones never worked,” sophomore Sraddha Pedaprolu said. “Also, alcohol-based hand sanitizers are really good for getting rid of germs and [are] especially [important] in this day and age where lots of diseases are spreading.”

However, the shift has not been well-received by some students.

“I take a culinary class at the CTE, and [the new dispensers] make it very difficult to wash our hands because of how little soap actually dispenses from the soap dispensers,” junior Chloe Turner said. “So, honestly I don’t think it was that necessary of a change, since there’s definitely other parts of the district that money could’ve gone towards. I mean, the libraries could be better, our food could be better.”
