Regional tournament the next stop for 10 Redhawks wrestlers

10 wrestlers advanced to the 5A Region II tournament Feb. 7-8 in Addison after placing in the top four at the District 8-5A tournament at Memorial High School on Wednesday and Thursday.

Competing against the rest of Frisco ISD, along with The Colony High School, the Redhawks wresting team competed in the District 8-5A tournament on Wednesday and Thursday at Memorial High School, with 10 wrestlers advancing to the regional tournament Feb. 7-8 in Addison.

Here’s a look at those who advanced, as well as those that are regional alterantes.

Girls

Dani Banks – 2nd place

Natalie Chen – 4^th place

Esther Essien – 1st place

Gabi Jurado – 4^th place

Angel Machiri – 3^rd place

Izzy Stacks – 5^th place and regional alternate

Boys

Nolan Koons – 4^th place

Juan Mendoza – 2nd place

Mayank Mohta – 4^th place

William Randolph – 2nd place

Pedrum Torabi – 5^th place and regional alternate

Max Willimas – 5^th place and regional alternate

Julio Velo – 3^rd place
