All nine Frisco ISD high school bands will be taking part in the inaugural Marching Band Showcase at the Ford Center at The Star Tuesday from 7-9:30 p.m.

“It’s very similar to a contest, but there’s no competition,” band director James Weaver said. “There will be evaluators that will be there that will actually watch the performances, and then the next day those evaluators will be able to visit with the directors and give them comments and critiques about preparing those shows as they move on.”

In addition to getting the chance to work on their performances, each band will have the chance to watch all others.

“Part of our process will be every band that performs eventually comes back into the stadium and sits and watches the other bands perform,” Weaver said.

General admission presale tickets are $3 and tickets can be purchased online at tickets.friscoisd.org or at ticket kiosks at every high school campus excluding Lebanon Trail High School. Tickets can also be purchased on site Tuesday for $4.
