Winning the Bi-District Championship in their first match of playoffs, the tennis team took down McKinney North 10-4 Tuesday morning. With a storm system leaving the area cool and wet, the match, originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon was moved to the indoor courts at Lifetime Fitness in Plano.

“I’ve never played on an indoor court before, so it was nice to try something new,” senior Sophie Boutouis said. “I appreciate playing when the sun’s not beating down on my skin because I can focus on the game more.”

The Redhawks’ playoff run will continue Friday as they play Highland Park at Highland Park High School.

“I think it went really well, we came out and got a win fairly easily,” sophomore Kayla Baker said. “It will really help to raise our confidence so we can continue practicing to play even better in Friday’s match.”
