Featured Athlete: Kennedy Clountz

Sophomore Kennedy Clountz runs the ball down the field toward. Already in a verbal commitment to play for TCU, Clountz doesn’t on plan stopping the sport anytime soon.
Wingspan: How long have you been in soccer?
Clountz: “I’ve been playing soccer since I was three.”
Wingspan: What is it like knowing you don’t have to worry about college?
Clountz: “It’s very relieving, knowing that I’m already set for my future pretty much, and I am able to avoid a lot of stress.”
Wingspan: What does it feel like when you score a goal?
Clountz: “A lot of different emotions. It’s really satisfying to be able to contribute to your team and have everyone cheer for you.”
Wingspan: Do you prefer club soccer or the school team?
Clountz: “I really like the club soccer more because it fuels my college career, but I also like our school team because it’s nice to support Liberty.”
Wingspan: Do you think playing on the school team has benefited you?
Clountz: “Yes. It’s always fun to meet new people and play with them, because it also allows you to work on yourself.”
